Rookie · Legends — Young Lions

Fourteen years old, first year in a legend car, and already on the box — third place in her very first race at Dixieland Speedway.

Meet the Driver
Haley Horton is fourteen and chasing one thing — the front of the field. This is her first season behind the wheel of a legend car, racing the Young Lions class at Dixieland Speedway in South Mills, N.C..
She did not ease in. In her very first race she brought the #33home in third, standing on the podium before most rookies have figured out where the apex is. It was a statement: she belongs out there.
Every weekend now is about learning the car, reading the track, and racing wheel-to-wheel with drivers who have years on her. The goal for the rest of the season is simple — keep climbing, and turn that debut podium into the top step.
The Season So Far
Four rounds in, two trips to the podium. Here is the story of the rookie campaign as it builds, race by race.
